1. The Cell architecture used in the system's CPU is incredibly powerful... and expensive. More so than the Xbox 360's PPC architecture.
2. The console exclusive games are consistantly great, more so than the competition... albeit much more rare.
3. The system's GPU is created by NVIDIA, the leading producer of computer graphics cards, and is the highest quality GPU of the generation... but only offers 256 MB of videoRAM, as opposed to the 360's 500 MB.
4. Development costs were initially incredibly high, leading to elite developers creating games for the system, like Inifinity Ward's Call Of Duty series... but also leading to more games made exclusively for the much cheaper Xbox 360 and PC.
5. The cell processors was incredibly hard to develop for, leading to companies working very hard to deliver an equivelent experience, also leading to more standout games (cough cough Uncharted cough)... but again, less content for the owners of the system.
